The Breakfast with the Kangaroos tour departs from all Sydney hotels between 6:45 and 7:15 am, thus avoiding the city traffic. This early start means that only one hour and 15 minutes later, our guests are roaming amongst wild kangaroos in the lower Blue Mountains National Park whilst breakfast is being prepared.

This is the time of day when the abundant birdlife and resident kangaroos are at their most active. Freshly baked Australian damper, assorted spreads, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea is all part of the Aussie Bush experience.

We will proceed up the Blue Mountains after breakfast. The tour becomes flexible, depending upon your group's expectation, the weather and local activities.

The spectacular blue vista is introduced via a short bush walk to a magnificent lookout, that never fails to impress. Well known views such as the 3 Sisters are seen from little known vantage points, away from the tourist crush.

Travelling off road onto the impressive Narrowneck Plateau provides a dynamic experience in certain weather conditions. At lunchtime we visit the picturesque Mountain village of Leura. This is a place you may find difficult to leave. You may wish to dine in a restaurant or coffee shop or choose take away and visit the galleries and antique shops. Following lunch we leave the area to visit one of Australia's premier wildlife parks. Koalas and other uniquely Australian animals are observed at very close range.

A short ride back towards the city brings us to the site of the 2000 Olympics - Homebush Bay. All of the major sporting facilities are on site and still very reflective of the atmosphere created during the games.

The tour ends with a relaxing Rivercat Ferry return to the city via the Parramatta River and Sydney Harbour - again avoiding the traffic. We arrive at Circular Quay at 5:00 pm.

The earlier return allows ample time to rest and prepare for the evenings activities, or the opportunity to explore the historic Rocks area, a haven for those seeking original aboriginal art and local craft.
